The cause of all our troubles is self and separateness and this vanishes as soon as Love and the great knowledge of Unity become part of our natures.” -Dr Edward Bach
Are you overworked or unemployed? Do you have fears that you are unable to conquer? Do people use you as a doormat? Have life's responsibilities got you down?
Yes! What can I do? I don't want to go on medication!
Then let me help you achieve and maintain emotional balance by recommending a personalized mixture of the Bach Flower Remedies.
What are the Bach Flower Remedies?
Created in the 1920s and 1930s by Dr. Edward Bach, the Bach Flower Remedies - also called Essences - is a self-help system consisting of 38 homeopathic tinctures - made from plants, flowers, trees and in one case a particular stream of water - that turn negative emotions into positive ones. They are safe, gentle and effective. They can be given to babies and animals. There are no side effects and no contra-indications, except Antabuse.
How does the process work?
We will have a consultation, which typically lasts about 30 minutes-1 hour. During that time, I simply sit, listen, and take notes while you tell me what's going on in your life. I may interject and ask for clarity, ask questions that will help me to understand your situation a little better, and validate whatever it is you are going through.
When that is done, I recommend anywhere between 1-7 essences that will help you. At my direction, you mix them and administer them yourself. I then follow up with you in about 3 weeks to determine next steps.
If the Bach's are considered to be self-help, why do I need you?
Several reasons: First, I am an educator. The extensive training I have received - classes, essays, exams, and case studies - has given me the skills necessary to distinguish between two seemingly similar remedies as well as discern what the client really needs. Upon being introduced to the system, many people think they need all 38 remedies! Second, everyone finds that the talking helps so much. Once a client starts talking, oftentimes they'll say something that knits it all together which in turn helps me to choose the appropriate essences. Third, we develop a valuable relationship as client and practitioner. I pick up the support where friends leave off.

CASE STUDY
Becky* came to me several months ago in despair. She had just gone through a horrible breakup with her boyfriend and as a result, became very depressed. She went to two doctors who diagnosed her with depression and prescribed an anti-depressant. Knowing the negative effects anti-depressants can have on people, she never filled the prescriptions. Becky also knew that her depression was situational and she sought another means. Her Aunt - who lives in England - suggested she find a Bach Practitioner and she found me. After our 1-hour consultation, I recommended a mixture: Star of Bethlehem for shock and trauma; Hornbeam because she didn't feel like getting out of bed (that "Monday Morning feeling,") Clematis because she couldn't concentrate; Sweet Chestnut because she was in extreme emotional anguish, and White Chestnut to help calm her thoughts at night as she had trouble getting to sleep. I taught her how to use them and how often.
About a month later, Becky came for a follow-up session. Her demeanor was much better; she had been sleeping through the night, she looked brighter and happier, and was more at peace.
