I truly believe that coincidences are God's/Universe's/Source's/Your Soul's way of saying,
"Look at me! Here I am!!"
How many of us feel a "nudge" to be somewhere at a certain time, without forethought or logic? Do you heed this nudge? Most of us don't. At this point in my life, I actively seek out coincidences and I often find them. I welcome your stories; let me know and I'll add them to this page.
In the meantime, here are some of mine:
I met a friend of mine for coffee one day after work. About 1 1/2 hours of sitting and chatting, I was ready to stay for a while, when I suddenly felt an overwhelming fatigue. I knew I had to leave right away. I apologized to my friend, put on my coat and left. As I was walking to the subway, I crossed 8th Ave and saw something blowing in the wind. It was a small bundle of money! There were several people on the street, all of whom seemed to be oblivious to this treasure. I followed the money as it landed inside a parking garage. I stepped on it to claim it, looking around to see if anyone had been chasing after it. After waiting what I felt to be a reasonable amount of time, I glanced at the bundle and saw a "0;" I was thrilled at finding $10. I stuffed into my coat pocket, holding onto it for dear life. When I got home, I opened the bundle and imagine my shock and surprise when there was not $10, not $20, but $201! I guess the universe had meant for me to have it. Talk about heeding that "nudge!"

Several years ago, my husband and I attended an opening at an art gallery for an artist friend of mine. We had to enter the gallery through an adjacent building that had an elevator. We became acquainted with the young man, named Sean, who escorted us on the elevator. At the time, I was in the process of finishing my reflexology certification and Sean became one of my practice people. After he finished his sessions, we lost touch, as so often happens in this busy world.A few months ago, I took the subway to work, about 15 minutes earlier that normal which is rare. About 4-5 stops away from my stop, I felt the urge to get up from my seat and stand by a door. As the subway stopped at the next stop, two gentlemen get on. One looks at me and says, "I know you." Indeed he did - it was Sean! He was working for a band who were appearing on The Today Show that morning, and he and his buddy had to get some equipment. Sean no longer lives in the NYC area and he was only here for that gig. If that's not god/universe/source/soul saying "Hello!" I don't know what is!

Through "Freecycle.org," I often give away my belongings I no longer need or want. I had 5 boxes of tile left over from when we re-did our bathroom that were taking up space and collecting dust. I posted it on Freecycle and got several responses. I always award it to the person who responded first. In this case, it was a woman who loves doing tile work. When she came to pick it up, we talked for 1/2 an hour; we had so much in common re: healing work, nutrition, and the like. It turns out that she runs Wellness groups twice a month and often has guest speakers. I offered to give a talk on the Bach Flower Essences and we set up a time right then and there.
